Game Recap

An own goal at the 20 minute mark of the first half gave the Bangor vikings a 1-0 lead. With two minutes to play in the first half the Lady Panthers earned a penalty tick which was converted by Freshman Victoria Smith to tie things up before the half.

Senior Casie Gohr and Freshman Emma “two” applied quick pressure and took multiple shots early on but we’re unable to get the go ahead score against the Vikings sweeper that played deep the remainder of the match.

With 20 minutes to play in the second have a long ball found the feet of a Viking forward to give the visitors a 2-1 lead. The Lady Panthers continued to fight, however conceded three more goals including one with 18 seconds remaining with a final result being a Panther loss.

The team played a very complete game with great effort and fight, however had a short bench with minimal subs due to injury and fatigue set in late.
